How is this as far as rockwork

I am getting back into Tropheus from a FW tank hiatus and just started setting up a new 90 gallon.  Do I need more rock, less rock, or does it appear to be just about right? I went with Aragonite, but not so fine that it causes canister problems. Going with an FX6 so I don't need 2 canisters.  Do I truly need to get a Koralia, maxpect, or vortec for water movement for the opposite side of my Output?  Would it filter better?  I truly do not want to over do it as far as rock goes.  I used to have a massive Mbuna tank that was full of rock.  I kind of like the space without the rock.  I put a lot less live rock in my reef displays too...there's always a sump. I just got 20 dollars of River rock that was close to 175 pounds...I might of used half of it or a little more.  What do you think?

I think your rock work looks fine, 2 piles is a good idea. FX6 is plenty for a 90 gallon tank.

I agree with John! Looks good. This erocks should do.very well. Fx6 are great. I have the fx5s. I use aragonite in all my tanks too. I use the reef grade sand. The smaller stuff is sugar grain sand. I have that in one tank that jas an overflow. Works well.

The crew use the circ pumps on a timer to lift detrius off the substrate so the filter intake can pick it up. Usually in addition to a monthly travel vac. I don't use the circ pump and adjust my maintenance schedule to gravel vac with each water change. The result is the same; clean tank free of accumulating solid waste.
Dense rockscapes can trap a lot of solid waste. Just be sure to clean amongst the rockwork periodically as well. I think your set up looks great and your troph's will love it.

I am not sure what kind of group I am going to get yet.  Something aesthetically nice and available.  I probably want to go at least F1 rather than dealing with the risk of WC.  I love Ikola, but I already had a group, so I want to try something else. 

As far as pumps, I have used Maxspect Gyre and Vortec on my reefs.  These seem a little too pricey though for FW and the lack of SPS coral. I was considering maybe a Jebo wp40 cause they are fairly cheap, quiet, and could by 3 for the price of a vortec or gyre.  What I do love about the gyre though is it is minimalist, it creates laminar flow pushing the entire column across the bottom.

yeah I like the Jebao Wave makers. I have Wp-60 and it rocks.
