Hey so um, I have a question about having a fish tank in a carpeted room. I feel like it would tip over and or ruin my carpet. if any one could help answer this question that would be great.

I also wanted to know how much tanks can go for, price wise. I want to start breeding and selling for some extra cash. I also think it would give a great look to my room haha. But yea if you have any helpful answers, That Would really help me out.

I think that as long as you use a nice piece 1/2 plywood or maybe some flat pieces of metal under the 4 corners of the stand and make sure that you use a level tool to make sure that your stand is not sitting on an uneven surface that will make the tank twist making it break, you'll be good to go.

I have my 72 gal bowfront on a thick tight pile carpet floor in the lounge room...no issues...the weight of the tank pretty much squishes the pile flat against the wooden floor beneath. I have an open stand constructed out of 2x4's with a plywood shelf in the base. The base the tank sits on is a 2x4 frame, not 4 leg ends. I sat the base of my stand on clear greenhouse film and wrapped it up about 4" and tacked it in place. The stand is wrapped also in a piece of black cloth to hide the sump etc. Also, I throw a painters plastic sheet across the front of the tank during water changes to protect the carpet from accidental spills.

I'm pretty sure you could have a bear rug with the head still attached and not have to worry about carpet depth being an issue for an aquarium!
