Tropheus Kasakalawe and Mpulungu

What are the main differences with Tropheus Kasakalawe and Mpulungu? Are they the same variant or truly two different variants?

Same thing.

The Kasakalawe village I just west of Mpulungu in the exact southern shore of the lake. They are literally right next to each other.

You just have to make sure that you don't get the neighboring fish mixed in. Like the Mbita and the Kalambo. They are not as impressive, although still nice Tropheus!

Moops are my favourite troph by far, with Red Rainbows and Ikola being close seconds. I never had the opportunity to keep Ikola but they are also stunning. One thing about the Moops/Kasakalawe, look at the eyes. The Kalambo and Mbita have very distinctive eye coloring. Kalambo have been referred to in the past as Diamond Eye trophs because on most of them they have light spots around their eye that appear to be "diamonds" around the eye! Moops are a very deep dark rich blue, with bright yellow/orange sides and some blue purple on the dorsal. All of them around that collection point are good looking variants, but nothing can one up a Moop for me! Just immaculate!
