The FX 4 has a much better output mod than the FX 6. you can get them on Amazon for about $7.00.

It's pretty close to the same but it sure reduces better and spits out a nice mean stream.

Oh yeah, that's quite a bit different from FX5/6 series filters.

I have a fluval Venezia 190 L (50 G) and am looking at a Fluval 350 L (92 G) ... I love my tank and why I am looking at a 350 L, they have been discontinued for a number of years but every once in a while you can find them. You can still find the inlet and outlet stacks for them on Amazon ... you might be able to adapt them for FX 4, FX 5 or FX 6.
