Outdoor pond rocks covered in algae

So my outdoor pond with koi in it has an insane amount of algae and rocks covered with it. Could I add this to my tropheus tank if I quarintined the algae rocks? How would I go about doing that?

Think I would be concerned about what possibly could be introduced into the tank. I appreciate you talk about separating it first to avoid this but surely the algae would die back?

I just leave my tank lights on longer and don't clean the tank as thoroughly and manage to get a nice green growth of algae - cant say I'm a great lover of the look but I'm inclined to do this on fry/grow out tanks, my normal tanks have enough algae on tank sides and rocks to keep my colonies happy and grazing.
