I have been wanting Frontosa for quite a while.  A few weeks ago an opportunity presented itself to acquire some. The group is about 4 1/2 years old and the guy that had them was wanting to do a male Hap and peacock tank. In order to make this happen for both of us, it required trading my male Haps from the 225 gallon for his frontosa. I just felt that this was the right opportunity that probably might never present itself again, so the trade was made.

Thank you. I am excited to start a new journey with this group in the 225 gallon tank. On 3/21 they made a 4+ hour trip in oxygenated five gallon buckets causing some of the fin damage that has been healing nicely, but can still be seen in the video.I'm unsure of the M/F ratio, even at this size I found them hard to vent and wanted to get them in the tank as quick as possible after acclimating them to my water. There are 7 total, The 6 largest have been together their whole lives the 7th, the smallest one had just recently been acquired. The previous owner said he had never seen a spawn from this group. I hope to get some interaction on this group from some of the members here and share this journey with all of you...

Andrew I really enjoy the contrast between between the Tropheus tanks "action all the time" and the majestic interactions among the this group. Im excited for you and the new endeavours you're about to embark on and wish you luck health and happiness. I'm just sorry I found this site so late, but I want you to know I've found it very resourceful.

Nice looking group. Good shape and color. Looks like there getting ready to breed soon. A handful of rock salt & some stress cost will fix those fins right up. Enjoy those nice specimens.
