Egg Tumbler project

Hi guys I've decided to have a go at making my own egg tumblers, I'm going to rummage through the pound shops tomorrow (that would the dollar stores to anyone state side) to see what parts, tubes etc I can find with the idea to make them as good as possible but also as cheap as possible, if need be I'll go to my local plumbing centre for pvc fittings. I've watched a load of DIY tumbler vids on YouTube so know what I'm looking to achieve but wanted to put it to you guys as many heads are better than one so any tips, hints or material ideas would be great, I plan on posting here as I go and end up with a finished product fit for the pro's lol.

You should contact Larry on here. he has some for sale in the marketplace and being that you are across the pond and not competition, he might be able to give you some pointers.

His are awesome and many people have purchased them and they are quality made.

Finding the right materials for less than I can buy a quality tumbler is proving difficult lol

You can use an old Python Cylinder and cut pieces of screen door mesh and slip a piece of PCV over the bottom and use a reducer of some sort on the top and then a piece of under gravel filter lift pipe with an air line down in the middle.

None of which I have spare to butcher up for this and the cost of the pvc bits outweigh a brand new tumbler off eBay (which I've already ordered and expect it today or tomorrow) lol

I think if I was planning on making a load of tumblers for friends, resale etc then yes I could build them cheap as I'd buy parts in bulk but to make 1 or 2 no.

Gotcha. Makes sense. GLad you're getting them. This will prove to be very beneficial for your journey. I'm really happy that you are motivated to accomplish your goals with this colony. I don't think that you'll regret it.

I'm not giving up on this just yet, I'll do some more research on the materials needed to do it right guys, it's the costs of them that I'm struggling with stay tuned
