Rare footage caught on camera of Wild sp. red Mahale male fertilizing cloud to spawning female twice caught on camera if looking closely. Sorry for the glass stains they keep making splashing waves come out.

I've seen females do this with the initial stages of the spawning process. But are these two males or something as neither of them look to have dropped egg tubes.

This is a wild pair going through the motions, the tube was just starting to come down on female, the rare footage was of the "Milt" cloud coming out twice if looking closely of 11inch male on the left side with a 9 inch female, sorry the footage wasn't as clear as it could have been.

The female was the smaller/ darker one?

Yeah not something that you see every day. I was thinking that it was the females vent giving way to a bit a mucus to aid in releasing the eggs. I've only ever seen male trout release that amount of milt during spawning.
