Dissolving Epsom salt?

Should you dissolve Epsom salt in tank water then add or can you sprinkle right into tank

I used to dissolve it if I was putting it into the main tank but I have a sump these days so I just toss it in there. The fish will suck it in and usually spit it out if undissolved, but even that is ok for our vegan fishes with their sensitive bellies...give em a good clean out lol 👍😉

I usually just mix it in with my container of additives when dumping back in during water changes.

The pre-mixing technique is what I use as well which has been successful with no issues. I do not use Epsom salts just the proper dosing of SeaChem Cichlid salt, Caribsea substrate, coral / lava formations. I have had good survival and spawning with this combo for the last year keeping Tropheus for the first time.

i just dump it into the tank after a water change, fish have been ok so far. half a tablespoon for every 10 gallons or so.

I use 55 gal Rubbermaids for my water changes and dissolve 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons in there
